Pyramids FC continues its preparations for the upcoming match against ENPPI, as part of the title race in the Egyptian Premier League. The match will take place next Friday at the Air Defense Stadium. However, there are some key absences that will impact the team’s lineup, adding complexity to this crucial fixture.

Ahmed Atef Qatta’s Absence: A Key Step Towards Recovery

One of the most notable absences for the team is midfielder Ahmed Atef Qatta, who is recovering from a nasal fracture he sustained during the previous match against Zamalek. Qatta has started light jogging around the pitch as part of his rehabilitation program, following the medical protocol set by Pyramids’ medical staff under Dr. Mustafa El-Moniri. Although he will not be ready to participate in the match against ENPPI, the rehabilitation program aims to ensure his swift return. In the coming days, the nasal splints will be removed, and a protective medical mask will be designed for him, allowing him to gradually participate in team training while safeguarding the surgical site from any contact.

Mohamed El-Shiby's Absence: Suspension Due to Third Yellow Card

Another significant absence for Pyramids is the suspension of Moroccan international defender Mohamed El-Shiby, who will miss the ENPPI match after receiving a third yellow card during the recent game against Al Ahly. The yellow card came in the 13th minute of the first half, in a match that ended in a goalless draw. This suspension means that El-Shiby will be unavailable for the upcoming game, posing a major challenge for Pyramids' coaching staff, particularly with the need to reinforce the defense in the absence of such a key player.

Expected Pyramids Lineup

Following these absences, the Pyramids lineup is expected to undergo some changes, especially in the defensive line. Meanwhile, forward Fiston Mayele will remain a key player in the attack, as the team looks to capitalize on his experience to secure three important points.

As for the league standings, Pyramids remains in second place with 44 points from 2 matches, aiming to improve its position and maintain its title hopes, especially given the challenges posed by the current absences.
