Pyramids Rally to Beat ENPPI 3–2 and Pile Pressure on Zamalek

In one of the most thrilling matches of this season’s Egyptian Premier League, Pyramids FC claimed a precious victory over Enppi with a 3-2 scoreline, in a game full of excitement and surprises that lasted from the first whistle to the very last minute.
First Half: Five Goals and an Offensive Thriller
The match, held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Air Defense Stadium in the fifth round of the title-deciding phase, started with a bang. Enppi took the lead in the 10th minute through Akhtay Abdullah, who capitalized on a defensive mix-up inside the penalty area and struck a beautiful shot into the top corner of the Pyramids goal.
However, Pyramids responded quickly, with Nasser Maher equalizing in the 17th minute after a brilliant cross from the left. Auda Fakhouri met it with a powerful header into Enppi’s net. Pyramids continued their offensive pressure and took the lead in the 27th minute, when a free kick from Nasser Maher deflected off the Enppi defense and fell to Ziko, who didn’t hesitate to score.
The match’s pace didn’t slow down, as Enppi fought back, with Ali Mahmoud converting a penalty in the 38th minute to level the score. Just before halftime, Ziko made his mark again, scoring his second goal and Pyramids’ third in the second minute of stoppage time, giving his team a 3-2 advantage going into the break.
Final Analysis: Pyramids Deserved the Three Points
In the second half, despite Enppi’s attempts to make a comeback, Pyramids’ defense held firm. The team maintained its lead and finished the game with a well-earned victory, raising their points tally to 50, keeping them in second place in the group, level with Zamalek, although Zamalek leads by direct encounters.
This match was a true example of Pyramids’ offensive power, with Mustafa Ziko leading the charge, scoring two goals, and making a significant contribution to his team’s win. Despite the loss, Enppi put up a strong performance in a thrilling half where no one knew what would happen until the last moments.
This game will be remembered as one of the most unforgettable matches of the season, not only because of the many goals and excitement but also because of the fighting spirit displayed by both teams, especially Pyramids, who managed to stay composed and secure the three points, strengthening their hopes of competing for the league title this season.
