Seif El Jaziri Wanted to Stay.. Agent Threatens FIFA Action After Zamalek Exit

In recent days, the situation surrounding Seif El Jaziri has shifted from being a routine discussion about the future of a foreign striker at Zamalek into a controversial issue, especially after comments made by the player’s agent criticizing how the club managed his departure from the White Castle.
The surprise lies in the fact that El Jaziri was not among the players seeking an early exit from the club. On the contrary, his previous stance reflected a clear desire to continue with Zamalek despite repeated speculation about his future. However, the club’s changing technical vision and the reshaping of the squad for the new season placed him in a completely different position.
El Jaziri Insisted on Staying Until the End
Over the past months, the Tunisian striker consistently expressed his intention to complete his contract with Zamalek, with no signs indicating a desire to leave. He believed he could still contribute to the team, especially after several seasons in which he scored important goals on multiple occasions.
However, the club’s management appeared to take a different direction, moving towards restructuring certain positions within the squad. This made his continuation subject to review as part of a broader plan aimed at building a more balanced squad for the upcoming stage.
Agent Criticizes the Way the Separation Was Handled
Although squad changes are a normal part of football, the criticism from El Jaziri’s agent was not directed at the decision itself, but rather at how it was executed. He believes the player deserved a more respectful approach, given his years of service at the club, especially since he was never involved in disputes or conflicts with the management.
Anis Ben Mim, Seif El Jaziri’s agent, said the player wanted to remain with Zamalek until the end of his contract, but described the way the relationship was ended as sudden and unprofessional from his point of view. He added that the player is considering taking the case to FIFA in order to protect his financial rights.
These developments highlight a new phase at Zamalek, focused on reshaping the team and making decisive decisions regarding several established names. Between a player willing to stay and a club pursuing change, El Jaziri’s case reflects one of the clearest examples of the ongoing transformation inside the White Castle ahead of the new season.
