Ceramica Cleopatra announced the arrival of Mohamed Shika ahead of the new season, opening a new chapter for the 29-year-old striker following the end of his spell with Kahraba Ismailia.

The player had previously attracted interest from Ceramica, with the club attempting to sign him during the January transfer window. However, Kahraba Ismailia’s determination to keep him prevented the move from happening at that time. After his contract ended, the path was open for Shika to make the switch.

Those numbers give Ceramica an attacking addition with proven scoring ability. Shika also brings considerable Egyptian league experience, having previously played for Petrojet, Tanta, Al-Suez, Eastern Company and El Entag El Harby before his latest spell with Kahraba Ismailia.

His arrival comes alongside a busy summer for Ceramica, with the club bringing in several players, including goalkeeper Mohamed Alaa, as well as Nitzs Gradisar, Peter Korkis, Fawzy El Henawy, Mohamed Emad and Khaled El Nabriss.

At the same time, several players have left the club, including Fakhri Lakay, Samuel Amadi, Mohamed Adel, Mohamed Toni and Khaled Abdel Fattah, highlighting the club’s intention to reshape its squad ahead of the new season.
