The Egyptian Premier League transfer window is entering its decisive final hours as clubs race against time to complete their squads ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The Egyptian Football Association has set Saturday, August 15, 2026, as the final deadline for domestic registration in the Premier League, leaving clubs with limited time to complete outstanding deals, departures and squad arrangements.

The Countdown Begins

According to the details reported by the supplied sources, the transfer window will close at midnight on Saturday, while the inquiry process will end at 6:00 PM on the same day.

After that point, completing a transfer becomes more complicated, as the required process includes an official release document issued by the player's current club and addressed to the destination club.

Several teams are therefore working to finalize their remaining business, whether by signing new players, completing departures or arranging loan moves. Attention is particularly focused on the major clubs, including Al Ahly and Pyramids FC, while Zamalek faces a different situation because of its registration suspension, which restricts its ability to register new signings.

Before the Season Begins

Al Ahly enters the new campaign after strengthening its squad with several additions, including Soufiane Benjedida, Oktay Abdullah, Ali Mahmoud, Algerian defender Moncef Bekrar and Akram Tawfik, while Ahmed Khaled Kabaka has also returned from loan.

The club's coaching staff is now focused on integrating the new arrivals with the existing squad before competitive action begins.

Other Egyptian clubs are also rushing to finalize their squads, with the new league season scheduled to start on August 21.

The competition's regulations allow each Premier League club to register 30 players on its main squad, in addition to five players born in 2005. Clubs can also register up to five foreign players, while the loan regulations impose limits on the number of incoming and outgoing loans during the season.

With the deadline approaching, the final hours of the transfer market could prove decisive for several clubs. What appears to be an administrative deadline may ultimately shape the squads that enter the new Egyptian Premier League season.
