A European offer was not enough to convince Al Ahly to part ways with Mostafa Shobeir. The Egyptian club has decided to keep its goalkeeper despite receiving official approaches from several European clubs, with Como’s proposal reportedly reaching around $2 million.

The latest developments indicate that Al Ahly does not view Shobeir simply as a player who can be replaced if the right financial offer arrives. Instead, the club considers him an important part of its plans for the upcoming season.

Como Leads the Race, but Al Ahly Says No

According to comments made by Egyptian media figure Ahmed Shobeir, Mostafa received three approaches in recent weeks from Italian side Como, Danish club Nordsjaelland, and Czech club Slavia Prague.

Como, coached by Spanish football figure Cesc Fabregas, presented the most notable proposal, with the offer reportedly reaching approximately $2 million. However, Al Ahly rejected the possibility of selling the goalkeeper and insisted on keeping him.

Nordsjaelland also made an approach, initially offering around $1 million before increasing its proposal. The Danish club, however, ultimately received the same response from Al Ahly: Shobeir is not available for transfer.
