Al Qanah made a remarkable start to their 2026-27 Egyptian Premier League campaign after coming from behind to defeat Ceramica Cleopatra 2-1 in a dramatic encounter at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium.

The match had almost everything: penalty kicks, a missed opportunity from the spot, a red card, and a stoppage-time winner that completed an impressive comeback for the newly promoted side.

Ceramica made the stronger start and managed to turn their early pressure into the opening goal through Mohamed Reda Bobo, putting his side ahead during the opening stages of the contest.

Al Qanah’s task became even more difficult when Moamen Rady was shown a red card following a strong challenge, forcing his team to finish the match with ten players.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Al Qanah remained disciplined and refused to settle for a draw.

Deep into stoppage time, Mauly Wayo broke through on goal and calmly found the net in the seventh minute of added time, completing a stunning 2-1 comeback.
