The Egyptian Football Association appears ready to commit to Hossam Hassan’s long-term project with the national team, with media reports indicating that new contracts have been agreed for the technical and administrative staff through 2030.

The most significant financial change concerns Hossam Hassan himself, whose reported monthly salary is set to rise to EGP 3 million after taxes.

Reports suggest that negotiations between the Egyptian FA, headed by Hany Abo Rida, and the national team staff have reached their final stages, with continuity emerging as the federation’s preferred strategy for the coming years.

EGP 3M for Hossam

Hossam Hassan is expected to receive the biggest increase under the new financial structure.

His monthly salary is reportedly set to rise from around EGP 1 million under his previous deal to EGP 3 million after taxes, representing an increase of roughly EGP 2 million per month and more than 150% compared with his former salary.

The restructuring also covers the rest of the staff. Ibrahim Hassan is reportedly set to earn EGP 1.5 million per month, while Tarek Soliman will receive EGP 350,000, Mohamed Abdel Wahed EGP 250,000 and Saafan El Saghir EGP 200,000.

One report also stated that administrative director Walid Badr will earn EGP 150,000 per month.

Based on those reported figures, the combined monthly cost of the listed staff members would reach around EGP 5.45 million, highlighting the scale of the federation’s financial commitment to maintaining the current setup.

The new agreement is not believed to be purely about salaries, with performance objectives also reportedly included in the long-term plan.

Among the targets mentioned are reaching the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals and qualifying for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, meaning Hossam Hassan’s continuation will ultimately be judged on major competitive results.

The Egyptian FA appears to have chosen stability rather than another managerial reset, giving Hassan more time to develop the national-team squad and combine experienced players with a new generation over the coming years.

If the renewal is finalized as reported, Hassan will receive one of the clearest long-term votes of confidence given to an Egypt coach in recent years.

However, the substantial financial increase will inevitably bring greater expectations.
