Egypt international Haissem Hassan made a strong impression on his first start for Celtic as the Scottish side secured a 2-1 victory over Falkirk on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership.

The Egyptian winger was handed his first starting opportunity since joining Celtic from Real Oviedo and delivered an encouraging performance before leaving the pitch around the 63rd minute, with James Forrest replacing him.

Celtic needed little time to take control of the match, with Camilo Duran opening the scoring in the fourth minute after taking advantage of a defensive mistake.

Duran struck again in the 29th minute, converting a delivery from Kieran Tierney to give Celtic a comfortable two-goal advantage before halftime.

Falkirk attempted to respond after the break and reduced the deficit in the 72nd minute when Colby Donovan scored an own goal, but Celtic held on to secure all three points.
