Al Ahly Assess Loaned Players as Afsha Edges Closer to Return

Al Ahly have moved early in the summer transfer market, placing their loaned-out players under review as the season approaches its end, in a step aimed at reshaping the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The club is currently assessing the future of each loanee, whether by bringing them back after their loan spells or moving on, as part of broader decisions expected during the summer transfer window.
Afsha Close
Mohamed Magdy Afsha stands out as the key name in this process, with Al Ahly edging closer to bringing him back following the end of his loan spell at Al Ittihad Alexandria, with no intention of extending the deal. Current indications suggest his return is now the most likely outcome, amid growing belief in his ability to contribute again to the squad.
Afsha is not the only case under consideration. Ahmed Reda is also close to returning, along with Mohamed Abdallah and Ahmed Abdeen, while Karim El Debis remains among the players with a strong chance of coming back after his performances during his loan spell.
Decisions Pending
Meanwhile, several cases remain unresolved, most notably Omar Kamal Abdelwahed, whom Al Ahly are keen to bring back, though no final decision has been made yet.
At the same time, the club is moving toward offloading players whose return appears unlikely, with efforts underway to secure suitable offers during the summer window and settle their situations before the start of the new season.
Overall, Al Ahly’s current approach reflects an early push to sort out their loaned players, with some edging closer to a return and others still awaiting their final outcome.
