Zamalek secured their place in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup for the third time in their history after a goalless draw against Chabab Belouizdad in the second leg of the semi-finals, which took place on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Cairo International Stadium.

Disallowed Goal and Yellow Card for Oday Dabbagh

The match started with strong attacking play from both teams, but over time, Chabab Belouizdad began to show more danger. However, Zamalek gradually found their way back into the game. In the 28th minute, Oday Dabbagh scored a brilliant header, but the goal was ruled out for offside. El-Dabbagh also received a yellow card for his goal celebration.

Strong Defense and Well-Deserved Qualification

Despite Chabab Belouizdad increasing their pressure in the second half in an attempt to score, Zamalek's defense remained solid, with no goals being conceded. The Egyptian team, led by defenders Mahmoud Bentayeg and Hossam Abdel Magid, held firm and managed to prevent any breakthroughs from the Algerian side. Zamalek also had a few offensive attempts but failed to convert them into goals, leaving the match to end in a goalless draw.

This result, combined with their 1-0 victory in the first leg in Algeria, secured Zamalek’s qualification to the final with a 1-0 aggregate score. They now await the winner of the other semi-final between Olympique Safi from Morocco and the Algerian Union of Algiers.
