Egypt's national team received a warm welcome from supporters upon arriving in Dallas, Texas, ahead of Friday's FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash against Australia.

The Pharaohs travelled from Spokane to Dallas aboard a FIFA-chartered flight, with the journey taking around three and a half hours. Upon arriving at the team hotel, large numbers of Egyptian fans gathered to greet the players and coaching staff, creating a festive atmosphere with chants, flags and cheers.

The delegation was also officially welcomed by Egypt's Consul General in Houston, Sherif Mokhtar, who wished the team success and reaffirmed the Egyptian diplomatic mission's commitment to supporting the squad throughout its stay in the United States.

Final preparations underway

Head coach Hossam Hassan will lead Egypt's final training session in Dallas before Friday's knockout clash against Australia as the Pharaohs look to continue their historic World Cup campaign.

Egypt advanced to the Round of 32 after finishing second in Group G with five points, level with Belgium but behind on goal difference. Australia also progressed as runners-up in Group D.

Victory over the Socceroos would send Egypt into the Round of 16 for the first time in the nation's history.
