Done Deal: Marmoush to Tottenham After Agreement With Manchester City

Egypt international Omar Marmoush is closing in on a new chapter in his Premier League career, with negotiations over a move from Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur reaching their final stages.
Recent reports suggest the deal could be completed soon, with Tottenham pushing strongly to reinforce their attacking options and viewing the Egyptian forward as an important part of the club’s new project.
Deal Nears Completion
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Tottenham and Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement for Marmoush to initially join on loan, with a purchase clause that could become mandatory once certain conditions are met.
The reported value of that clause is £50 million, while Marmoush has already given his approval to Tottenham’s project, leaving the medical examination and final contractual procedures as the remaining steps.
However, journalist Nicolo Schira reported a slightly different financial structure, claiming the overall package could reach €64 million including bonuses, with Marmoush expected to sign a contract running until 2031.
Despite differences between reports over the exact structure and final value of the transfer, they agree that negotiations have entered their decisive phase and that Marmoush is now very close to becoming a Tottenham player.
A New Project
Tottenham are looking to reshape their attacking department under Roberto De Zerbi, with Marmoush seen as a player capable of providing several tactical solutions thanks to his pace, versatility and ability to operate across the forward line.
The London club are also reportedly working on further business with Manchester City, including a move for Brazilian winger Savinho, as Tottenham continue an ambitious rebuild of their attacking options.
Should the move be completed, Marmoush will begin another Premier League chapter after joining Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025.
The Egypt international has made 62 appearances for City, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists, while also winning the FA Cup and the League Cup with the club.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also reportedly keeping a close eye on the deal, with the German club said to be entitled to 15% of Marmoush’s transfer value.
The medical examination and contract signing now appear to be the final major steps before an official announcement, with London increasingly likely to become Marmoush’s next destination.
