Meanwhile, Emam Ashour is approaching a return to Al Ahly’s matchday squad following an improvement in his physical condition and recovery from the injury that kept him out of pre-season matches and the opening league fixture.

The technical and medical staffs are expected to make the final decision on his availability, with the midfielder having a strong chance of making the squad and potentially starting if he is declared fully fit.

Ashour’s possible comeback comes shortly after Al Ahly officially extended his contract until the summer of 2030, giving the player an additional morale boost ahead of his return to competitive action.

His availability would provide Amouta with another influential option in midfield thanks to his ability to create chances, make forward runs and press opponents.
