Egyptian table tennis star Hana Goda continued her impressive run with the national team after winning the women’s singles gold medal at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto, adding another major achievement to Egypt’s medal campaign in Italy.

Goda finished her singles journey in the best possible way after defeating Monaco representative Xiaoxin Yang 4-1 in the final. The Egyptian player controlled the match well and managed to secure the title with a strong performance.

Gold for Hana

Hana entered the final with one clear target: to finish the tournament on top of the podium. She handled the match confidently and completed a 4-1 victory to claim the women’s singles title.

Egypt’s tally includes 23 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 19 bronze medals, showing the strong level of the Egyptian athletes during the competition.

Egypt is competing in 23 different sports at the 2026 Mediterranean Games, including athletics, boxing, gymnastics, handball, judo, karate, shooting, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling.
