Omar Marmoush’s difficult spell in front of goal continued as the Egyptian international failed to score in Tottenham’s EFL Cup match against Liverpool, with Spurs crashing out of the competition after a 3-1 defeat.

Marmoush started the game at Anfield and played the full match, but he was unable to end his goal drought. The Egyptian forward has now gone 15 consecutive matches without scoring across club and international football.

The result brought Tottenham’s EFL Cup campaign to an end in the third round, while Marmoush completed another full match without adding to his goal tally.
