Zamalek are preparing for an important clash against Rwanda's APR on Saturday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the second leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.

The Egyptian side will be without six players, with changes also expected in the starting lineup.

Zamalek enter the match holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Kigali.

However, head coach Moatamed Gamal must find a way to protect that lead and secure qualification for the group stage despite several absences.

Six Players Missing

Zamalek will be without six players for different reasons, including Nasser Mansi, who scored the winning goal in the first leg.

The striker has been disciplined and referred for investigation following his goal celebration against APR.

Moroccan defender Mahmoud Bentayg is also unavailable due to a hamstring tear that kept him out of the first leg.

Mohamed El Sayed remains sidelined through injury, while Amr Nasser is not yet fully fit.

Meanwhile, Moatamed Gamal has left Seif Gaafar and Omar Abdelaziz out of the squad for technical reasons, forcing the coaching staff to consider alternative options, particularly in attack following Mansi's absence.

Zamalek's Expected Lineup

Gamal is expected to use a 4-3-3 formation, with El Mahdi Soliman potentially returning in goal instead of Mohamed Awad, who featured in the previous league match against Petroleum Assiut.

The expected defensive line consists of Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Hamdy El Wensh, Mostafa El Zenary, and Ahmed Fattouh.

Mohamed Shehata, Ahmed Rabie, and Abdallah El Said are expected to form the midfield trio, while Oday Dabbagh, Hossam Ashraf, and Chico Banza could lead the attack.

The match kicks off at 8:00 PM Cairo time on Saturday.

A win or any draw will be enough for Zamalek to advance to the group stage, while APR will attempt to overturn their first-leg defeat.

The encounter represents an important test for Gamal, who hopes to guide Zamalek into the next stage of the African competition despite the missing players and expected lineup changes.
