Turkish reports have indicated that the Red Devils have made an official move by contacting Fenerbahçe to explore the possibility of signing the player during the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old is reportedly among the options attracting interest from Al Ahly. However, the deal could face strong competition, as several Turkish and European clubs are also monitoring the Egyptian defender, potentially making negotiations more difficult in the coming period.

At the same time, Mohamed Abdelmonem, the Nice defender, was among the players considered for a return to Al Ahly. However, the Egyptian international preferred to continue his professional career in Europe despite the financial offer presented by the club.

According to reports, Al Ahly’s proposal included an annual salary of EGP 25 million, in addition to bonuses and other benefits worth EGP 10 million. Abdelmonem’s decision prompted the club to reconsider its priorities and explore alternative defensive options.

With the possibility of bringing Abdelmonem back becoming increasingly unlikely, Hussein Amouta has turned his attention toward signing a Moroccan center-back. The coach is looking to benefit from his extensive knowledge of Moroccan football as he searches for a player with the qualities and experience needed to meet Al Ahly’s requirements for the new season.

Al Ahly’s search is not limited to Moroccan players, as several defenders from the Egyptian league are also being considered.
