Zamalek’s coaching staff decided to give the players a 24-hour break following their big win over Al Masry in the league, allowing them to recover before traveling to Algeria for a crucial CAF Confederation Cup clash.

Zamalek are set to face CR Belouizdad in the first leg of the semi-finals, aiming to continue their strong form and take a big step toward reaching the final.

Rest After Big Win

The decision came after a dominant 4-1 victory over Al Masry, where Zamalek delivered an impressive attacking display. Nasser Mansi stood out by scoring twice, helping his team secure the top spot in the league with 46 points.

The team now looks to maintain this momentum as they prepare for a tough continental challenge amid a busy schedule.

Algerian Warning and Internal Crisis

On the other side, CR Belouizdad sent a strong message by securing a massive 7-0 win in the Algerian league, showing they are ready for the upcoming clash.

At the same time, the Algerian side is dealing with internal tension due to a dispute with head coach Said Ramovic, who is refusing to leave and insists on honoring his contract, while the club is trying to terminate it—potentially leading to a legal battle.

These factors add more intensity to the upcoming encounter, with Zamalek entering confidently, while Belouizdad aim to use home advantage to secure a positive result.
