Haitham Hassan Knocks on the Champions League Door as Celtic Move Nears Completion

Egyptian international Haitham Hassan is on the verge of beginning a new chapter in his European career, with his move from Spanish side Real Oviedo to Scottish giants Celtic now nearing completion.
The two clubs have reached an agreement over the transfer, while Hassan has already completed his medical examinations in London. The remaining steps are expected to pave the way for the official announcement of his move to Glasgow.
A Major Deal and a Four-Year Contract
Reports indicate that the initial value of the transfer is around 6 million, with the deal potentially rising to 9 million through bonuses and performance-related add-ons.
Hassan is expected to sign a four-year contract with an option for an additional season, bringing his spell with Real Oviedo closer to an end and opening the door to a new challenge in Scottish football.
The move could also give Celtic another attacking option ahead of their European campaign, with the club working to complete Hassan's registration in time for its Champions League qualifying schedule.
A Winger Suited to Celtic's Style
Celtic are not simply adding another player to their squad. Hassan is expected to provide greater attacking variety, particularly through his ability to take on defenders, beat opponents one-on-one and reach the final third.
His dribbling ability and willingness to attack from wide areas fit the approach associated with manager Martin O'Neill, who places considerable emphasis on giving wingers the confidence to challenge defenders and create opportunities.
Hassan is expected to compete for a starting role with several Celtic wingers, including South Korean Yang Hyun-jun, who enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season and established himself as an important part of the squad.
However, the competition for places could benefit Celtic rather than limit Hassan's chances, as the club looks to add more creativity and attacking options across both flanks.
For Hassan, the move comes at an important point in his career. After making an impression during his time in Spain and attracting greater attention with the Egyptian national team, a move to Celtic could provide him with a bigger European stage.
With his medical completed and the final formalities underway, Haitham Hassan is now just steps away from becoming a Celtic player and starting a new chapter that could prove crucial to his development at both club and international level.
