Manchester City have released new behind-the-scenes footage of Omar Marmoush saying goodbye to his teammates, around a week after the Egyptian forward left the club for Tottenham Hotspur.

Banter Until the Final Moments

The video captures a playful exchange between Marmoush and Erling Haaland at City’s training ground, with the Norwegian striker approaching his teammate and jokingly telling him to “get your training gear on” because the squad were about to train.

Marmoush played along, replying that he had to train “somewhere else”, before the pair embraced. Haaland then asked whether he was leaving immediately, with Marmoush telling him his flight was scheduled for 3pm.

The exchange ended with another glimpse of their friendship as Haaland urged Marmoush to stay in touch and jokingly warned him not to ghost him on Snapchat.

Marmoush joined Tottenham on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with the deal including an obligation to make the transfer permanent for £60 million next summer.

The Egypt international had joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025, but moved to Spurs in search of more regular playing time.

Although the farewell itself took place last week, City’s newly released footage has now offered supporters a closer look at Marmoush’s final moments with his former teammates — and the light-hearted relationship he shared with Haaland.
