Zamalek are close to ending the Juan Bezerra saga, with negotiations with UAE side Shabab Al Ahli reaching their final stages ahead of a possible transfer during the current window.

The latest reports indicate that the deal is now close to $6 million after talks between Zamalek and the Emirati club over the transfer fee and the conditions required to complete the player's departure.

Bezerra Must Return First

Juan Bezerra is expected to arrive in Cairo next week after Zamalek insisted from the beginning that the Brazilian must return to Egypt before any final decision about his future.

The club took that position after the player missed team duties without permission and failed to return at the scheduled time.

Zamalek therefore refused to complete his move to another club before he returns to Cairo and settles the issues linked to his absence.

Bezerra is expected to hold a meeting with Zamalek officials, while communication continues between the club's lawyer and the player's representatives to complete the final details.

According to the reported terms, Bezerra's return could also include an apology and the recording of a short video before officially ending his time with Zamalek and completing his transfer to Shabab Al Ahli.

$6m Deal Nears Completion

Zamalek had previously placed their demands at a total value of up to $7 million, while also seeking a 20% sell-on clause.

However, the latest negotiations have brought the transfer closer to completion at around $6 million.

One reported payment structure would see Zamalek receive $4 million immediately, with the remaining $2 million paid in January.

The agreement is also reported to include Shabab Al Ahli covering around $150,000 in fines imposed on Bezerra because of his absence.

Time is also an important factor in the negotiations, with the UAE transfer window remaining open until the end of September, pushing all sides to finish the required procedures as soon as possible.

The deal would provide Zamalek with an important financial boost, giving the club extra funds to handle some of its current commitments and strengthen the squad in the coming period.

Despite the major progress in talks, the transfer is not expected to become official until Bezerra returns to Cairo and all final documents and contracts are completed.

One of Zamalek's biggest recent issues is therefore moving closer to an end, with the club standing firm on the player's return while Shabab Al Ahli move closer to signing the Brazilian in a multi-million-dollar deal.
