In a new blow to the first football team of Al Ahly, the absence of four key players for the upcoming match against Pyramids in the Premier League, scheduled for April 27 at the Air Defense Stadium, has been confirmed. These absences add further complexity to the situation for the coaching staff, led by Yassir Torup, at a very critical time in the season.

Significant Absences Place Al Ahly in a Tough Test

The absences are due to injuries and suspensions, putting Al Ahly in a difficult position as they aim to compete for the top spots in the league standings. It has been confirmed that goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy and winger Hussein El-Shahat will miss the match due to suspensions, while the team will also be without the services of Youssef Belaili and Karim Fouad due to muscle injuries.

In addition to these, players Mohamed Hani, Ashraf Bencharki, and Ahmed Nabiel Koka are also struggling with different injuries. Hani suffered a wrist sprain, Bencharki sustained a facial injury in a previous match, and Koka is dealing with a muscular strain in his pelvis. The fate of these three players will be determined after they undergo final medical examinations to confirm their readiness for the Pyramids match.

New Challenges for the Coaching Staff

This high number of absences represents a major challenge, especially with the importance of the upcoming match against Pyramids, particularly given the fierce competition between Al Ahly and Pyramids for the top position in the Premier League standings. Al Ahly currently sits in third place with 44 points, while Pyramids leads with a better goal difference, and Zamalek holds first place with 46 points.

The hope remains that the coaching staff will overcome these absences and adequately prepare the substitutes to deliver a strong performance in this crucial match, which could play a significant role in shaping the team's path in the league this season.
