In a match packed with drama and excitement, Al Nassr failed to secure the Saudi Pro League title after a last-gasp 1–1 draw against Al Hilal, keeping the championship race wide open until the final round in one of the most tense season endings in recent memory.

A Costly Mistake

Al Nassr were on the verge of sealing the title after taking the lead through French defender Mohamed Simakan, delivering a disciplined performance and controlling large parts of the match as they edged closer to lifting the trophy before the season’s end.

But one moment changed everything. In the final seconds, Brazilian goalkeeper Bento made a disastrous error while dealing with a cross inside the penalty area, pushing the ball into his own net in the 90+8 minute, gifting Al Hilal a dramatic equaliser.

That mistake was not just a simple slip—it was a turning point that brought Al Hilal back into the title race after Al Nassr were seconds away from closing it out, turning the final rounds into a full-blown battle between the two giants.
