Egypt National Team have received an early setback after confirming that midfielder Hamdi Fathy will miss the upcoming friendly match.

The suspension comes after his red card in the recent game against Spain, as part of Egypt’s ongoing preparations for future international competitions.

Official Suspension

FIFA regulations state that any player sent off in an international friendly must sit out the next friendly match, which applies directly to Fathy.

This leaves head coach Hossam Hassan without one of his key midfield players.

With Fathy unavailable, the coaching staff will explore alternative options, either by reshuffling roles or giving new players a chance to step up.

The team management is also focused on maintaining a balanced preparation plan to ensure overall readiness.

Chance to Step Up

Although his absence is a technical loss, it also opens the door for other players to prove themselves and compete for a place in the starting lineup.

The main challenge now is to maintain team balance and keep the positive momentum going
