Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has announced his starting lineup for the decisive World Cup 2026 clash against Iran, with two notable surprises in the team selection.

Mohamed Abdelmonem returns to the heart of defence, while Mahmoud Saber starts in midfield as Egypt look to secure qualification from Group G and protect their position at the top of the standings.
