Attention at Al Ahly SC is now focused on contract renewals, as more than one player could leave at the end of the season. Among them is Ahmed Nabil Koka, who is increasingly likely to pursue a move abroad.

This comes after Aliou Dieng confirmed his move to Valencia CF, opening the door for further changes within the squad.

Koka Close to Exit

Koka has yet to agree on a contract renewal, as he is keen on starting a new chapter outside Egypt in search of more playing time and development.

Negotiations with the club have not progressed significantly, increasing the chances of a free transfer departure.

European Interest Growing

The player has attracted interest from clubs in Portugal and Turkey, and he sees this as the right moment to test himself in European football.

His age and ambition make this a key opportunity to grow and gain experience at a higher level.

Searching for Replacements

Meanwhile, Al Ahly have begun evaluating potential replacements for Dieng, considering both loaned players and domestic options.

The club aims to maintain balance in midfield ahead of the new season.

Decision Ahead

Koka’s future remains under discussion, with the club trying to balance the player’s wishes and team needs.

A final decision is expected soon, as part of a broader squad restructuring.

Notably, Koka received an offer from Alverca FC in January 2026, which further strengthens the possibility of his move to Europe.
