In a new step that highlights the continued emergence of Egyptian talent on the European stage, Czech club Slavia Prague have announced the signing of young Ismaily winger Ibrahim El Naggaoui on a contract running until the summer of 2030, following negotiations described by the club as among the most complex youth transfer deals it has completed.

The 17-year-old is set to begin his professional journey outside Egypt with one of the Czech Republic’s leading clubs. However, his transfer will officially take effect on August 23, when he turns 18, in accordance with regulations governing the international transfer of underage players.

A Complex Deal and a Long-Term Plan

El Naggaoui will begin the first phase of his journey with Slavia Prague’s reserve team, having already taken part in training sessions. The club’s plan is to give the Egyptian youngster sufficient time to adapt to his new surroundings and develop gradually, with the possibility of featuring for the club’s U-20 side.

Slavia Prague’s interest in El Naggaoui was not a sudden decision. The club first identified him during his appearances for Egypt at the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations before continuing to monitor his performances in the Egyptian league and at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Club officials believe the young Egyptian winger possesses qualities that fit their long-term vision. His pace, physical strength, attacking movement and ability to deliver crosses at high speed stand out, while his versatility allows him to play in more than one position, including as a winger or an attacking wing-back.

During the previous season, El Naggaoui earned opportunities with Ismaily’s first team and featured in several league and cup matches. Despite his young age, he demonstrated his ability to compete at senior level, attracting the attention of the Czech club and moving a step closer to fulfilling his dream of playing in Europe.

Farewell to Ismaily and the Beginning of a European Dream

The transfer is reportedly worth around $350,000, while Ismaily have retained a 15% sell-on clause. The agreement could provide the Egyptian club with additional financial returns if El Naggaoui continues his development and secures a move to a bigger club in the future.

Before beginning his new adventure, the young player bid farewell to Ismaily and its supporters in an emotional message. He described the club as his footballing home since childhood and thanked his teammates, coaches and the club’s fans for their support throughout his time with the Yellow Dragons.

The move to Slavia Prague represents an important milestone in El Naggaoui’s career, particularly as the Czech club enter the new season as domestic champions and prepare to compete on the European stage. The environment could offer the Egyptian prospect a valuable opportunity to develop and gain experience at a higher level.

Between a gradual start with the reserve team and the ambition of reaching the first team, Ibrahim El Naggaoui is beginning a new chapter away from Ismailia, carrying a bigger dream: to transform from an Ismaily academy prospect into another Egyptian name making an impact in European football.
