ZED FC have officially announced the signing of playmaker Mohamed Ibrahim on a free transfer, with the player agreeing to a three-year contract ahead of the 2026–27 season.

Ibrahim joined ZED after his contract with Al Ahly Bank expired at the end of last season. Despite receiving several offers during the summer transfer window, the experienced midfielder chose to join ZED as the club prepares for a new phase filled with domestic and continental ambitions.

ZED introduced their new signing through a special announcement on their official social media platforms, reviving the nicknames that have accompanied Ibrahim throughout his career and highlighting the club’s expectations for his technical quality and extensive experience.

Mohamed Ibrahim began his football journey in Zamalek’s youth academy before enjoying a spell abroad with Portuguese side Marítimo. He later returned to Egyptian football and represented Misr Lel Makkasa, Ceramica Cleopatra, and Al Ahly Bank.

The 34-year-old made 30 appearances across all competitions last season and registered one assist. He will now look to regain his attacking influence with ZED under head coach Mohamed Shawky.

The Magician Begins in Turkey

Mohamed Ibrahim has joined ZED’s pre-season training camp in Turkey as part of the team’s preparations for the new campaign. The camp will provide the player with an opportunity to build chemistry with his new teammates and adapt to the coaching staff’s tactical approach before the start of official competitions.

ZED are scheduled to play four friendly matches during the camp against UAE side Khor Fakkan, Bahrain’s Al Muharraq, Kuwait’s Al Salmiya, and Turkish club Kocaelispor, as the team continues its preparations and evaluates its new signings.

Ibrahim’s arrival is part of ZED’s wider efforts to strengthen the squad during the summer transfer window. The club have also completed deals for French player Marouane Hajij, Karim El Deeb, and Mahmoud Oka.

After finishing second in the relegation group with 49 points last season, ZED are preparing for a new campaign with greater ambitions, particularly as the club gears up for participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
