Egypt’s U18 women’s handball team continued its remarkable run at the World Championship in Romania after claiming a thrilling 28-27 victory over South Korea in the opening match of the main round. Egypt then officially secured a place in the quarterfinals following Denmark’s 21-19 win over France.

The victory over South Korea came after a tightly contested match that remained close until the final moments. A Historic Victory

Egypt entered the main round with growing confidence after finishing top of a difficult opening group that included European runners-up Croatia, France, and Fiji.

The Egyptian team began its campaign with a 27-24 win over Croatia before defeating France 29-24. It then produced a dominant 83-17 victory over Fiji, setting a new World Championship record for the highest number of goals scored by a team in a single match.
