Ramadan Sobhi's lawyer has revealed a new development in the doping case that has recently affected the player’s career, with Sobhi being suspended from participating in matches due to the doping scandal.

Sports critic Ahmed Darwish posted on his Facebook account: "Ramadan Sobhi's lawyer: The appeal in the player's doping case has been accepted. "Currently, Sobhi is regularly training in a private gym to maintain his fitness while awaiting the final decision regarding his suspension, following his previous one-month prison sentence over a forgery case.

Lawyer's Statements:
Sobhi's lawyer, Hani Zahran, confirmed that the appeal filed by Sobhi in the doping case had been accepted. He mentioned that the World Anti-Doping Agency and the Court of Arbitration for Sport have been granted until May 4, 2026, to respond to the appeal. Zahran added that the Swiss Federal Court does not look into the case itself but only ensures the correctness of procedures and the parties' rights in the litigation process.

Earlier, the Court of Arbitration for Sport had issued a decision to suspend Sobhi for four years due to the doping issue. However, Sobhi's lawyer addressed the possibility of suspending the penalty after the appeal was accepted, clarifying that it is unfortunately not possible to suspend the sentence, and Sobhi will remain under suspension until the final decision is made by the federal court.
