In statements made via his official Instagram account, Hossam Hassan confirmed that he had no intention of discussing any internal events at the club, but was forced to reveal some truths after terminating his contract with the club.

Hossam said: "I was shocked to see a news report about the termination of my contract with the club at a strange time, even though the agreement between us was clear and confirmed multiple times." He added, "Therefore, it was necessary for me to clarify my position in defense of myself, especially after I and my colleagues were mistreated by the club’s management, except for some players close to the club's president who received their full dues."

Hossam continued, attacking his former club's management: "If you want to know the truth, ask the players who were banned by the president's direct order from attending training, had their dues suspended, and were forbidden from speaking, as if we had no rights." Hossam warned that more players would soon reveal other details about the pressures they faced within the club.

He also added that the mental well-being of the players was destroyed without justification, advising any Egyptian player considering joining this club to ask players with a conscience, who will reveal what’s happening inside the club. Modern Sport Club’s Response to the Statements

In response, Modern Sport Club issued an official statement expressing strong disapproval of what it called "direct insults and falsehoods" directed at the club and its management. The club emphasized in its statement that the player had signed a "final settlement agreement" after his financial dues were fully settled on March 14, 2026, and confirmed that he had no remaining claims against the club.

The club also pointed out that what Hossam Hassan did was a breach of the confidentiality and non-insult clause in the termination agreement, considering that the player did not adhere to the professional integrity expected of football players. The club emphasized that the player’s actions also violated the Egyptian Football Association’s regulations, which require players to respect and not insult the clubs they sign contracts with.
