24 Players Under Ammouta’s Command as Al Ahly Prepare for African Test Against Kitara

Al Ahly's first-team squad has arrived in Uganda ahead of Saturday's clash against Kitara on October 17 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32.
The Egyptian side will be looking for a strong start to their African campaign.
Moroccan head coach Hussein Ammouta has selected a squad featuring experienced players and promising young talents.
His main goal is to build a balanced team capable of defending well, creating chances, and securing a positive result before the return leg.
The Al Ahly delegation is led by board member Sayed Abdel Hafeez, with the club focused on providing the players with the right conditions ahead of an important match in their continental campaign.
Al Ahly Squad
Ammouta has named 24 players for the trip to Uganda, covering all positions.
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobier, Hamza Alaa.
Defenders: Yassin Marei, Achraf Dari, Ahmed Eid, Hady Riad, Akram Tawfik, Karim Fouad, Mohamed Hany.
Midfielders: Ahmed Reda, Marwan Attia, Omar El Saei, Ali Mahmoud, Emam Ashour, Tawfik Mohamed, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mohamed Magdy Afsha.
Forwards: Taher Mohamed Taher, Soufiane Benjdida, Moncef Bakkar, Hussein El Shahat, Achraf Bencharki, Omar Moawad.
The squad gives Ammouta several options across the pitch, especially in attack, where players such as Emam Ashour, Zizo, Achraf Bencharki, and Hussein El Shahat can make a difference through their creativity and attacking ability.
The Moroccan coach also has different options in midfield and defense, allowing him to adjust his tactics and make changes depending on how the match develops.
Al Ahly's Target
Al Ahly will enter the match against Kitara hoping to secure a positive away result that will make the return leg easier and improve their chances of reaching the next round.
Ammouta and his coaching staff are working on preparing the players physically and tactically, with a strong focus on defensive organization and making the most of attacking opportunities.
Playing away from home can be challenging, so Al Ahly will need to remain focused throughout the 90 minutes and avoid mistakes that could give Kitara an advantage.
The match is an important step in Al Ahly's CAF Confederation Cup campaign, as the Egyptian club aims to compete for the continental title.
Ammouta's biggest challenge will be choosing the right starting lineup and finding the balance between defensive stability and attacking strength, with the goal of returning to Cairo in a strong position before the second leg.
