Yasser Ibrahim and Kouka Among 11 Missing From Al Ahly Squad for Al Qanah

Al Ahly are preparing to face Al Qanah on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in Matchweek 7 of the first phase of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Devils will be looking to continue their positive results and secure another important victory.
However, Al Ahly will enter the match without 11 players after Moroccan head coach Hussein Ammouta selected his squad for the upcoming league fixture.
The team will approach the game with confidence following two consecutive victories.
Al Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-0 in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League before beating Uganda's Kitara 2-1 away from home in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Round of 32.
11 Players Left Out of Al Ahly Squad
Hussein Ammouta has left 11 players out of Al Ahly's squad for the match against Al Qanah.
The missing players are Yasser Ibrahim, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Aktay Abdullah, Mahmoud Salah, Ahmed Khaled Kabaka, Mohamed Abdullah, Omar Sayed Moawad, Reda Slim, Mohamed Raafat, Amr El Gazzar, and Karim El Debes.
These absences give the coaching staff an important challenge when selecting the starting lineup, especially as Al Ahly continue to compete in both domestic and African competitions.
Despite the number of missing players, the team still has several experienced and talented options across different positions.
This gives Ammouta flexibility when choosing his starting eleven and making changes during the match.
The reports did not explain the individual reasons behind all 11 exclusions, so it remains unclear whether they were related to fitness, injuries, or technical decisions.
Al Ahly Squad Announced After Zamalek and Kitara Wins

The goalkeepers selected are Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobier, and Hamza Alaa.
The remaining players are Yassin Marei, Achraf Dari, Ahmed Eid, Hadi Riad, Taher Mohamed Taher, Ahmed Reda, Soufiane Benjdida, Moncef Bakrar, Akram Tawfik, Marwan Attia, Hussein El Shahat, Omar El Saei, Achraf Bencharki, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ali Mahmoud, Emam Ashour, Tawfik Mohamed, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Karim Fouad, and Mohamed Hany.
The squad includes several important attacking players, with Zizo, Bencharki, Hussein El Shahat, and Taher Mohamed Taher among the available options.
Afsha and Emam Ashour also provide creativity and attacking support, giving the coaching staff different ways to create chances against Al Qanah.
In midfield, Marwan Attia and Akram Tawfik offer additional options, while defenders such as Achraf Dari, Yassin Marei, and Mohamed Hany remain available.
Al Ahly will hope to build on their recent victories against Zamalek and Kitara and maintain their winning momentum in the Egyptian Premier League.
The Al Qanah match comes at an important stage of the season, with the club looking to balance its domestic commitments with its CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
After securing a 2-1 away victory against Kitara in the first leg, Al Ahly will be aiming to keep their confidence high with another positive league result.
The main challenge for Ammouta will be finding the right combination of players despite the 11 absences, as Al Ahly look to collect three more points and continue moving forward in the league standings.
