The return of Ahmed Abdelkader to the Egyptian Premier League is no longer merely a matter of speculation, as his move to Pyramids has accelerated in recent hours and now appears close to being officially announced.

The End of His Journey with Al Karma and the Start of a New Chapter

Ahmed Abdelkader officially announced his departure from Iraqi side Al Karma after mutually terminating his contract with the club, bringing his spell in Iraq to an end and paving the way for his return to Egyptian football.

The player took the opportunity to thank Al Karma’s management, coaching staff, teammates, and supporters, emphasizing that his time with the club had left him with special memories. He also expressed his appreciation for club president Muthanna Al-Halbousi, whom he described as a father figure throughout his time with the team.

Abdelkader’s departure comes as his move to Pyramids appears to have reached its final stages, with reports indicating that the two sides have reached an agreement over the transfer.

From Signing the Contract to Filming the Presentation Video

The move to Pyramids has reportedly gone beyond the negotiation stage, with Abdelkader said to have signed a four-year contract before completing the filming of his presentation video at Air Defense Stadium.

As a result, the official announcement of the deal now appears to be only a matter of time. The player is set to return to the Egyptian Premier League through Pyramids after his experience with Al Karma, in what could be one of the club’s notable moves during the current summer transfer window.

The transfer follows negotiations that began last season, before Abdelkader made his decision to join Pyramids and start a new chapter in his career, hoping to regain his prominence in Egyptian football and prove his ability to make a difference.

As Pyramids prepare to unveil the signing, one major question remains: Can Ahmed Abdelkader turn this return into a fresh start that puts him back in the spotlight?
