El Khatib Dissolves Major Committees and Hands Football Command to Mansour & Abdel-Hafiz

In a radical move to salvage the club's season, Al Ahly SC management, led by President Mahmoud El Khatib, has officially launched a major administrative revolution. The board decided to dissolve three core departments: the Planning Committee, the Scouting Department, and the Transfers Department. This sweep signals a complete break from previous management styles following the club’s recent disappointing exit from the CAF Champions League.
To lead this new era, the board has appointed Vice President Yassin Mansour and board member Sayed Abdel-Hafiz to take full control of the football sector. The duo has been granted "absolute authority" to restructure the team’s foundation, scout new talent, and manage technical affairs, with full backing from the board of directors to implement any necessary changes.
These decisive actions follow an official admission of technical and administrative lapses that hurt the team's standing. By entrusting Mansour and Abdel-Hafiz with the football files, Al Ahly is looking to restore its winning culture and elite professional standards. Fans are now eagerly watching as the club prepares for a massive rebuilding phase ahead of the new season, aiming to return to the top of African football.
