After Egypt Camp Turmoil, FA to Address Salah, El Shenawy and El-Darandaly Issues With Hossam Hassan

The Egyptian FA is preparing to meet Hossam Hassan and his brother Ibrahim following a series of tensions during the national team’s latest camp, despite officials making clear that the coaching staff’s future is not under threat.
FA president Hany Abo Rida is expected to lead the meeting alongside vice-president Khaled El-Darandaly, with reports also saying Sports Minister Gohar Nabil will attend as officials try to calm the situation and set clearer boundaries before Egypt’s next camp.
Salah and El Shenawy issues to be discussed
Reports say Abo Rida asked for Hossam’s recent comments concerning Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El Shenawy to be reviewed.
Salah’s substitution against Angola and subsequent absence from the South Sudan and South Africa matches created significant debate, while comments concerning El Shenawy also angered Al Ahly.
The Sports Ministry has since said the Salah issue is over and that the Egypt captain is expected to return normally for the November camp.
El-Darandaly tensions also on agenda
The meeting is also expected to address the tension between the coaching staff and El-Darandaly during the South Sudan trip.
El-Darandaly said Hossam did not greet him before the trip and criticised some protocol-related incidents, although his formal report stated that there had been no direct confrontation or verbal abuse.
Officials are also expected to discuss media discipline and how future public comments are handled to prevent further disputes involving players, clubs or FA officials.
For now, the message from the federation is clear: Hossam remains backed as Egypt coach.
The meeting is about calming tensions and tightening the way the national team is managed, not deciding whether he stays.
