EGP 35 Million and a Final Offer.. Hany and Yasser Ibrahim Face a Crucial Decision at Al Ahly

Negotiations over new contracts for Mohamed Hany and Yasser Ibrahim have reached an important stage at Al Ahly, with the club reportedly deciding on its final financial offers and waiting for both players to respond.
The situation comes as the two players approach the final months of their current contracts, which are due to expire at the end of the season in summer 2027.
Reports of interest from other clubs have added another dimension to the negotiations, raising questions about whether both players will remain at Al Ahly or consider new opportunities.
According to Egyptian media reports, Al Ahly could consider allowing either player to leave during the January 2027 transfer window if negotiations fail.
Such a move would give the club an opportunity to receive a transfer fee rather than risk losing the players for free when their contracts expire.
Final Offer
Al Ahly have reportedly offered Mohamed Hany and Yasser Ibrahim new contracts worth up to EGP 35 million per season for each player.
The proposed annual package includes salaries, bonuses, incentives and commercial benefits associated with the new contracts.
The club's management is unwilling to increase these figures, as it aims to maintain financial stability and avoid creating a higher salary level that could affect future contract negotiations with other players.
According to Cairo 24, Al Ahly officials have already informed both players of the full details of their final offers.
The club has made its financial position clear and is now waiting for Hany and Ibrahim to decide whether they are willing to accept the proposed terms.
Al Ahly reportedly have no plans to submit improved financial offers, meaning the next important step depends on the players' responses.
Neither player has announced a final decision, leaving their futures uncertain despite the club's desire to settle the matter.
Possible Departures
While contract discussions remain unresolved, reports have linked Mohamed Hany and Yasser Ibrahim with interest from clubs in Egypt and abroad.
Some reports have mentioned verbal approaches from Libyan clubs, while Egyptian side Pyramids have also been linked with the players as they monitor developments in the negotiations.
However, there has been an important clarification regarding the reported interest from Libya.
A source at Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi told Cairo 24 that the club had not submitted an official offer to Al Ahly for defender Yasser Ibrahim.
The source also explained that Al Ahly Benghazi had already signed two foreign central defenders.
This denial means the reported interest should not be treated as confirmation of a formal transfer bid or an agreement between the clubs.
For Al Ahly, the preferred outcome remains reaching an agreement that allows the players to continue under the club's established financial conditions.
If the negotiations remain unsuccessful, however, the management could examine suitable offers during the January transfer window.
Any potential departure would depend on the players' decisions, the offers received and whether an agreement could be reached with an interested club.
The coming weeks could therefore play an important role in determining the futures of Mohamed Hany and Yasser Ibrahim.
With Al Ahly determined to protect its wage structure and both players still considering their options, the situation remains open, leaving supporters waiting to discover whether the pair will extend their stay or begin a new chapter elsewhere.
