Pyramids Make Thrilling Start as Five-Goal Clash Ends With Victory Over Al Qanah

Pyramids opened their Egypt Capital Cup campaign with an exciting 3-2 victory over Al Qanah at the Air Defense Stadium in the first round of Group Two.
The game was lively from the opening seconds.
Pyramids scored almost immediately and added another goal before halftime, but Al Qanah responded strongly after the break and remained in the contest until the final minutes.
Flying Start
Pyramids needed almost no time to make an impact.
Algerian forward Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali scored after around 15 seconds, giving his team an ideal start and putting Al Qanah under early pressure.
Pyramids continued to attack and Abdulrahman Magdy doubled the lead in the 40th minute with a powerful finish from inside the penalty area, sending his side into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
Al Qanah refused to give up and showed more attacking intent after the break.
Mohamed El-Shebiny pulled one back in the 57th minute with a header to bring his team back into the game.
Late Drama
As Al Qanah increased the pressure, Pyramids looked for a third goal to regain control.
Substitute Ali Hamouda delivered it in the 76th minute, reacting quickly after the goalkeeper pushed the ball away and heading home to make it 3-1.
However, Al Qanah continued to fight and Hazem Abu Senna scored their second goal in the 83rd minute, setting up a tense finish and putting Pyramids under pressure during the closing stages.
Pyramids managed to protect their lead until the final whistle, securing a 3-2 victory and their first three points of the competition.
Al Qanah left without a point despite producing a strong second-half performance.
Pyramids made several changes to their lineup for the match, with Mahmoud Gad starting in goal and a number of players receiving an opportunity from the beginning.
Other players were introduced during the game, including Ali Hamouda, who made an immediate impact by scoring the third goal.
The victory gives Pyramids a positive start in Group Two, which also includes Smouha, National Bank of Egypt, Modern Sport and Al Qanah, as the team looks to build momentum and compete for a place in the next stage.
