Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is preparing for another important challenge with Trabzonspor as his team travel to face Samsunspor on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the seventh round of the Turkish Super Lig.

Trabzonspor will be looking to continue their winning form and move closer to the top of the league table.

The match will take place at the Samsun New 19 May Stadium at 4:00 PM Cairo time, with attention focused on Salah, who has made an impressive start to the season and established himself as one of the leading contenders for the league's top scorer award.

Trabzonspor enter the match in seventh place with 10 points from three wins, one draw and two defeats, sitting just three points behind the league leaders.

Meanwhile, Samsunspor are in 16th place with four points.

Salah Eyes More Goals

Mohamed Salah has enjoyed an excellent start to his time with Trabzonspor, scoring seven goals in the opening rounds of the Turkish Super Lig.

The Egyptian forward currently shares the top spot in the scoring charts with Nigerian striker Gift Orban of Amedspor.

Salah produced one of his best performances of the season against Galatasaray, scoring a hat-trick to help Trabzonspor secure an impressive 4-0 victory before the international break.

His strong performances have not been limited to that match.

He previously scored twice in a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir and added another goal in a convincing 5-0 win against Genclerbirligi.

Salah also found the net during Trabzonspor's 2-1 defeat to Amedspor, showing his ability to make an attacking impact even when his team struggles to get a positive result.

The Egypt captain has been included in Trabzonspor's squad for the Samsunspor match after completing his international duties, giving the team an important attacking option ahead of the game.

Trabzonspor Target the Top

Trabzonspor, led by German head coach Thomas Reis, are aiming to secure back-to-back league victories for the first time this season.

The team enter the match with increased confidence following their impressive victory over Galatasaray and will be looking to build on that performance.

Another three points would help Trabzonspor improve their position in the standings and close the gap on the teams competing at the top of the table.

Reis will be counting on Salah's attacking quality, movement and finishing ability, along with the support of his teammates, to create chances and put pressure on the Samsunspor defence.

However, Trabzonspor will also need to remain organised defensively throughout the match to avoid giving their opponents opportunities to get back into the game.

On the other side, Samsunspor are under pressure after collecting only four points from their opening matches, leaving them near the bottom of the league standings.

The home side will be hoping to use the support of their fans to secure a positive result against Trabzonspor and begin moving away from the lower positions.

A victory could provide Samsunspor with an important confidence boost ahead of their upcoming league fixtures.

The match is expected to be a competitive contest between Trabzonspor's ambition to move closer to the top and Samsunspor's determination to improve their difficult start to the season.

All eyes will once again be on Mohamed Salah as the Egyptian star looks to add more goals to his impressive record and help Trabzonspor secure another valuable victory in the Turkish Super Lig.
