Pyramids FC produced an impressive comeback to defeat Ceramica Cleopatra 4-1 on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Air Defense Stadium in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League, extending their perfect winning record and returning to the top of the standings.
The match did not start as planned for Pyramids, who conceded an early goal.
However, they quickly recovered and scored three goals before halftime, adding a fourth in the second half to secure an important victory.
Pyramids Comeback
Ceramica Cleopatra made a strong start and took the lead in the fifth minute through Abdullah Magdy, putting the home side under early pressure.
Pyramids responded just nine minutes later when Mostafa Ziko scored a spectacular bicycle kick in the 14th minute to bring his team level.
The equalizer gave Pyramids confidence, and they continued attacking.
Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali completed the comeback in the 20th minute with the second goal.
In the 37th minute, Mohanad Lasheen added a third goal, giving Pyramids a comfortable 3-1 lead at halftime after an excellent attacking performance.
Ceramica tried to respond after the break and came close to scoring in the 53rd minute when Mohamed Reda Bobo fired a powerful shot against the crossbar.
Despite Ceramica's efforts to reduce the deficit, Pyramids remained organized and took advantage of the spaces left by their opponents.
Substitute Youssef Obama scored the fourth goal in the 77th minute, ending any realistic hopes of a Ceramica comeback.
The visitors suffered another setback in the 86th minute when defender Justice Arthur received a red card for bringing down a Pyramids player near the penalty area.
Ceramica finished the match with ten players as Pyramids celebrated another convincing league victory.
Top Spot and El Shibi
The victory took Pyramids to 18 points from six matches, maintaining their perfect record with six consecutive wins and putting them back at the top of the Egyptian Premier League table.
Pyramids moved two points ahead of second-placed Al Ahly, who have 16 points, while Ceramica Cleopatra remained fifth with 12 points.
Moroccan right-back Mohamed El Shibi was named Man of the Match after delivering an impressive performance and playing an important role in his team's victory.
El Shibi was active on the right side, supporting attacks while also carrying out his defensive responsibilities.
His overall performance earned him the individual award despite not scoring any of the four goals.
Pyramids started the match with Ahmed El Shenawy in goal, supported by Mohamed El Shibi, Mahmoud Marei, Ahmed Samy, and Karim Hafez in defense.
Mohanad Lasheen, Walid El Karti, Mostafa Fathi, Nasser Maher, and Mostafa Ziko also featured in the starting lineup, with Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali leading the attack.
