Salah Becomes Third Player Ever to Score and Assist in All Three European Club Competitions

The Egypt captain joins Cody Gakpo and Mario Götze after scoring and setting up a goal in Trabzonspor’s Conference League win over KuPS.
Mohamed Salah added another European milestone to his career after helping Trabzonspor beat Finnish side KuPS 4–2 in their Conference League opener on Thursday.
The Egypt captain became the third player to register both goals and assists in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, according to Opta statistics reported by GOAL and Masrawy.
Only Dutch forward Cody Gakpo and Germany’s Mario Götze had previously achieved the feat.
A Goal and an Assist in Finland
Salah made an immediate impact for the Turkish side, setting up Paul Onuachu’s opening goal in the third minute.
He then scored himself in the 44th minute, striking a loose ball into the top corner to double Trabzonspor’s lead before half-time.
He was substituted in the 55th minute.
Franculino Djú scored twice as Trabzonspor secured an away victory to begin their league-phase campaign.
Completing the European Set
Having already scored and provided assists in the Champions League and Europa League, Salah completed the three-competition achievement with his contributions against KuPS.
The milestone gives the Egyptian another distinction in European football as he continues his career with Trabzonspor.
