Watch: Dog Halts Al Masry’s Clash With National Bank in Egyptian Premier League

An unusual moment interrupted the match between Al Masry and National Bank of Egypt when a dog entered the pitch at New Suez Stadium late in the game.
Play briefly stopped as attention shifted from the ball to the unexpected visitor.
The incident happened in the 84th minute of Wednesday’s match on October 28, 2026, in the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The dog’s appearance added a lighthearted moment to a contest in which both teams had scored from penalties.
Unexpected Guest
As the match approached the end of normal time, the dog walked onto the pitch, causing a brief pause in play.
Its sudden appearance left players surprised.
The situation had to be dealt with before the game could continue, as the animal’s presence interrupted the action.
It became one of the match’s most unusual moments, with an animal entering the field and bringing play to a temporary halt.
ON Sport shared a video documenting the incident and showing how the dog stopped the match.
The scene gave the contest a brief moment of humour away from the goals and the competition between the two sides.
Two Penalties
Before the unexpected visitor appeared, Al Masry had taken the lead through Salah Mohsen.
He converted a penalty in the 42nd minute, putting his team ahead shortly before half-time.
National Bank of Egypt responded through Ahmed Yasser Rayan, who also scored from the penalty spot.
His equaliser made it 1–1 before the dog entered the pitch.
The match therefore featured two penalty goals and an unusual interruption in its closing stages.
As both teams looked to gain the advantage, the incident in the 84th minute added a different story to the contest, with the dog briefly becoming the centre of attention.
